Disney's Hexed (NL)

After being expelled from school, the impulsive and headstrong teenage girl Billie discovers that she possesses magical powers. This discovery has unexpected consequences: together with her extremely cautious mother Alice, with whom she lives in a dreary suburb, she finds herself in Hexe, a world as mysterious as it is magical, full of witches. Whilst there, they uncover family secrets that are deeply connected to that world; indeed, those secrets could well change the world of witches forever.

Initially, the main character in this magical coming-of-age story was supposed to be a boy, but ultimately the film’s producers decided that the dynamic between mother and daughter would give the story more panache, and so Billie became a girl. Take note: this is the Dutch spoken version.
